I pulled up to Strike Out Wingz and tried the Sweet & Sassy and Lemon Pepper wings. Don’t sleep on their 69-cent wing deal every Tuesday.

StrikeOut Wingz is right in the heart of downtown Atlanta at 60 Peachtree Street NW, across from Woodruff Park. It’s a family-owned spot started by husband-and-wife team Chinar and Faraji Tucker, who began with a food truck in 2018 and opened their first restaurant in Nashville in 2020 before expanding to Atlanta.
Chinar has said she created the brand because restaurant wings were never crispy enough or seasoned right for her, so she started fixing them in her own kitchen. Nearly every sauce is made in-house, including the signature Sweet & Sassy. Their Lemon Pepper comes as a wet sauce instead of a dry rub, and it’s one of the most popular flavors.
The vibe is a big part of it too, with music, specialty Kool-Aid drinks and fried Oreos for dessert. And every Tuesday, wings are just 69 cents, so you can eat good without emptying your wallet.

Atlanta Is a Wing City
If there is one food Atlanta claims as its own, it is wings, especially lemon pepper. The city’s wing culture runs deep, from late-night spots to sports bars, and everybody has an opinion about who does it best.
A 69-cent wing deal is hard to beat, especially downtown. If you plan to go on a Tuesday, get there early because deals like this draw a crowd, and check whether there is a minimum order before you go.
