Omari Hardwick is revisiting the conversation around Power while introducing audiences to a different chapter of his acting career.
During an Associated Press interview, the actor was asked about 50 Cent’s claim that series creator Courtney Kemp wanted his character, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, written out earlier. Hollywood Unlocked reported that Hardwick acknowledged a change in the working dynamic, saying, “There was definitely a shift.”

50 Cent then shared the interview clip and renewed his criticism of Kemp. His account remains his version of their professional disagreements. In earlier coverage of the dispute, Kemp challenged his recollections while acknowledging his importance in bringing Power to television.
That history helps explain why Hardwick’s response drew attention, but his current work gives fans another reason to follow him.

Hardwick plays Cassius Clay Sr., Muhammad Ali’s father, in The Greatest. Prime Video released all eight episodes on November 4. Amazon describes it as the first authorized scripted series about Ali’s life, with his widow, Lonnie Ali, among its executive producers.
Jaalen Best stars as Ali. Dana Gourrier portrays his mother, Odessa Clay, and Michael Ealy plays Malcolm X. Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society is among the production companies behind the series.
While viewers continue discussing Ghost and the creative decisions behind Power, The Greatest offers a new performance centered on the family life surrounding one of the world’s most recognizable athletes.
