Lil Scrappy and Erica Throw Emani’s 14th Birthday Party

Somebody is growing up on us! Lil Scrappy and Erica Dixon came together this weekend to throw their daughter Emani a 14th birthday party fit for a princess, and FreddyO was there for the celebration. The proud parents put any differences aside and made sure their baby girl’s day was all about her, surrounded by family, friends and plenty of love.

Fans of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta have watched Emani grow up right before their eyes since the show first hit VH1 back in 2012, when she was just a little girl. Now she is a beautiful young teenager with her mama’s smile and her daddy’s personality, and watching Scrappy play the proud girl-dad role all day was a moment everybody in the room could feel. Erica, as always, held it down and made sure every detail was perfect for her daughter.

The party was a full family affair, with Emani celebrating alongside the people who love her most. Fourteen is a big one: high school is right around the corner, and if this party is any preview, Emani’s future is bright. Scrappy has had plenty to celebrate lately, from the music to his growing family, and moments like this show the side of the Prince of the South that matters most, the father who shows up for his kids.

Happy 14th birthday, Emani! Press play to step inside the party, and drop your birthday wishes for Scrappy and Erica’s baby girl in the comments.

Epic Vocal Skills – Xscape Latocha Scott

Atlanta has always been spoiled when it comes to R&B voices, but every once in a while the city gets a reminder of just how elite its own talent really is. That reminder comes courtesy of LaTocha Scott, the powerhouse soprano of Xscape, in a clip that is nothing short of breathtaking. No gimmicks, no studio tricks — just that God-given instrument doing what it was born to do. Press play and prepare to have your wig snatched, because this is singing in its purest form.

For anybody who came up on “Just Kickin’ It,” “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To,” LaTocha’s voice was the lightning in the bottle — that church-bred, take-you-to-the-King soprano that could carry a ballad or ride a Jermaine Dupri groove with equal fire. Alongside Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss and Tiny Harris, she helped Xscape sell millions of records and set the blueprint for every harmony-driven girl group that followed.

The timing of this moment could not be sweeter. After the group’s celebrated reunion — from their show-stopping return at the 2017 Essence Festival to their long-overdue honor at the BET Awards — Xscape proved to a whole new generation that they never lost a step. And LaTocha has been front and center through it all, reminding everybody why she was the voice that anchored those timeless classics. Fans have been begging for more solo vocal moments, and clips like this prove she can carry a stage all by herself.

Be sure to check the gallery below for more exclusive FreddyO moments — including a vocal showcase from Avery Wilson and a look inside Tamika Scott’s beautiful wedding vow renewal ceremony.

  • Tammy Rivera Live
    ,

    Tammy Rivera Live

Tammy Rivera is not just a reality star, and she is tired of anybody thinking otherwise. FreddyO was in the building as Tammy took the stage to perform live, giving the crowd the voice, the confidence and the grown-woman energy that her fans have been rocking with since she stepped into the spotlight next to her husband, Waka Flocka Flame. When Tammy grabs a microphone, she means business.

The music is real. Tammy put in the work with her Fate EP last year, records like her breakout single showed she could carry a song on her own, and this new live performance is her staking her claim all over again: sultry, honest R&B about love, loyalty and a woman who knows her worth. Live is where it counts, too — no studio, no filters, just Tammy, the band and a room full of people singing the feeling right back to her.

Atlanta has watched Tammy build an empire piece by piece — Love & Hip Hop cameras, the swim line, the beauty and lifestyle moves, and a marriage the whole culture roots for — and she has done it while keeping her Baltimore edge and her sense of humor intact. That is why a performance like this lands: it is not a celebrity vanity project, it is an artist who took her time, found her lane and is now owning her stage.

Press play and watch Tammy shut it down live, then tell us in the comments: are you ready for a full Tammy Rivera album, and what city needs to be first on her tour list?

  • Keke Wyatt & Kelly Price Talk Bad Boy, Making It In The Industry, Loving You & Motivation
    ,

Keke Wyatt & Kelly Price Talk Bad Boy, Making It In The Industry, Loving You & Motivation

When two voices like this sit down in the same room, you do not talk over them — you listen. Keke Wyatt and Kelly Price, two of the most powerful singers R&B has ever produced, linked up with FreddyO for a real conversation about the music business, the Bad Boy era, learning to love yourself, and staying motivated when the industry gets heavy.

Both ladies came up in a time when you had to truly sing to survive in R&B. Kelly broke through in the Bad Boy era, writing and singing alongside some of the biggest names in the game before stepping out front with her own hits, while Keke’s voice turned heads from the moment she arrived as a teenager. Hearing them compare notes on that grind — the studio sessions, the politics, the doors that opened and the ones they had to push through — is a masterclass.

The conversation is not all industry talk, though. It gets personal about self-love, faith and pushing forward, the kind of honest motivation that only comes from artists who have lived it. In 2019, with both women still recording, still performing and still commanding stages, their message lands loud and clear: the gift is real, but so is the work.

Press play above and get every gem for yourself, then tell us in the comments — who has the bigger voice, Keke or Kelly? Choose carefully, because real R&B fans have been debating that one for years.

  • Love & Hip Hop Cast Party Hosted By Scrappa DeLeon

Love & Hip Hop Cast Party Hosted By Scrappa DeLeon

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is officially back, and the A shut it down last night to celebrate. Season eight just kicked off on VH1, and Scrappa DeLeon hosted a cast party that had everybody talking, with FreddyO on the scene as the stars stepped out to toast a brand-new season of the drama we cannot get enough of.

Eight seasons in, LHHATL is still the blueprint. This season promises plenty from the faces Atlanta loves: Rasheeda and Kirk Frost are still working through their marriage in front of the cameras, Scrappy and Bambi are adjusting to life with baby boy Breland, Momma Dee is keeping everybody on their toes the way only she can, and Erica Dixon is back in the mix, which longtime fans have been waiting on for years.

Scrappa, who has had his own unforgettable run on this show, played host for the night and made sure the energy stayed up, with the cast mixing, the music going and the whole city showing love. If the premiere party is anything to judge by, this season is about to be one wild ride through the A. By the end of the night, one thing was clear: Atlanta reality TV is a family business, and this family definitely knows how to throw a party.

Press play to step inside the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast party hosted by Scrappa DeLeon, and tell us in the comments who you are checking for this season.

  • Momma Dee Talks Scrappy & Bambi Mama Drama & LHHATL
    ,

Momma Dee Talks Scrappy & Bambi Mama Drama & LHHATL

The palace is talking! Momma Dee sat down with FreddyO and you already know she did not hold back a single word, spilling all the tea on her son Lil Scrappy, her daughter-in-law Bambi and the mama drama that has Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta fans talking this season. When the queen of the palace grabs a microphone, everybody in the kingdom better sit up and listen, because she is going to tell it exactly like it is, in that order!

Scrappy and Bambi tied the knot and welcomed their baby boy Breland last fall, and instead of things calming down, the family has been turned up ever since. At the center of it all are the two grandmothers, Momma Dee and Bambi’s mama Cece, who just cannot seem to get on the same page. Momma Dee feels disrespected in her own palace, Cece is standing ten toes down for her daughter, and poor Scrappy is caught right in the middle of the women he loves most.

Nobody should be surprised, though. Momma Dee has been a fan favorite since Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta first hit VH1, turning her palace speeches into catchphrases and even giving us her single ‘In That Order.’ She rides hard for her son, she protected the crown through every up and down with Erica, and now she is a grandmother again with a whole new generation in the palace. One thing she is not about to do is bite her tongue for anybody, not even family.

Press play and hear Momma Dee tell her side of the story, then tell us in the comments whose side you are on. Will these two grandmothers ever squash the drama for the baby’s sake, or is the palace about to be divided for good? Something tells us this story is far from over, and Momma Dee is just getting started.

  • Keke Wyatt and Her Mother ‘When I See Jesus Melody’
    ,

Keke Wyatt and Her Mother ‘When I See Jesus Melody’

Whew — get your tissues ready, because this one hits straight in the heart. Keke Wyatt sat down with her mother, Lorna Wyatt, and the two of them lifted their voices together on a “When I See Jesus” melody that will give you chills from the first note to the very last. No band, no big production — just a mother, a daughter, and the kind of singing you cannot learn in any studio.

If you know Keke’s story, you know exactly where that voice comes from. She grew up singing in church back home in Indianapolis, with her mother right there helping to shape her gift — Lorna sang, and little Keke soaked it all up. Long before the R&B hits, the television shows and the viral vocal moments, there was a church pew and a mama who made sure her baby knew how to minister through song.

That is why this moment feels so full-circle. When Keke and her mother blend on those gospel runs, you are hearing two generations of anointing at the very same time. Keke has carried this song into some of the heaviest moments imaginable — including singing it at the homegoing service for Tiny’s father, Charles Pope — and every single time, she sings it like she believes every word. Because she does.

And let’s just say it plain: this is the root of everything. The runs, the power, the control, the ability to hush an entire room with one note — it did not come from a vocal coach or a record label. It came from home. It came from church. It came from Mama.

Press play above and let this mother-daughter moment bless you the way it blessed us. Then scroll through the photos below for more of Keke doing what she does best. Some voices are trained, and some voices are famous — but a voice like this one is inherited, and heaven-sent.

  • 2019 Dirty Dozen Food List – “Bad Fruits & Veggies”
    ,

2019 Dirty Dozen Food List – “Bad Fruits & Veggies”

Before you load up that grocery cart, Atlanta, you need to see this list. Every year the Environmental Working Group releases its Dirty Dozen — the twelve fruits and vegetables found to carry the most pesticide residue — and the 2019 list is here, with a few everyday favorites sitting right at the top.

Strawberries, spinach and kale lead the 2019 rankings, followed by nectarines, apples, grapes, peaches, cherries, pears, tomatoes, celery and potatoes. These are foods a lot of us eat every single week, and that is exactly the point of the list — not to scare you off produce, but to help you shop smarter, wash thoroughly, and know where going organic might matter most for your family. It is the kind of list worth printing out and sticking on the refrigerator before your next trip to the store.

FreddyO runs down the full list in the video, breaking down which items to watch and what to reach for instead. The group also publishes a Clean Fifteen with the lowest residue, so there is balance — eating more fruits and vegetables still beats skipping them altogether. For parents packing school lunches and anybody eating raw produce daily, this is information that can change how you shop starting today.

Press play above and get the full 2019 Dirty Dozen before your next grocery run. Then tell us in the comments — were you surprised by anything on the list, and do you buy organic for your family?

  • RHOA Star “Shamea Morton” $50,000″ Baby Shower
    ,

RHOA Star “Shamea Morton” $50,000″ Baby Shower

When it comes to celebrating her baby girl, Shamea Morton does not do anything small. The Real Housewives of Atlanta favorite pulled out all the stops for a jaw-dropping $50,000 baby shower, and FreddyO was right there to capture every fabulous moment. Shamea was glowing from head to toe as she arrived with her husband Gerald Mwangi, smiling, dancing and soaking up the love from the friends and family who packed the room to celebrate the couple’s little princess on the way. From the moment you walked in, you knew this was not your average baby shower — this was a full Atlanta production.

The shower had a soulful Motown spirit, with live music filling the room and guests on their feet. In one of the night’s most unforgettable moments, the ladies of Xscape blessed the mommy-to-be with their classic ‘Who Can I Run To,’ turning the party into a sing-along that had everybody swaying. Every detail was over the top in the best way, from the gorgeous decor to the food, the sweets and the nonstop dancing. Shamea has always been the life of the party, and her girls made sure her shower matched her energy — joyful, glamorous and full of love.

Shamea has shared her journey to motherhood openly with fans, and her faith through it all has been inspiring. No matter what report came her way, she kept believing, kept praying and kept celebrating her baby girl, and that spirit filled the entire room. Surrounded by her RHOA sisters and the people who love her most, this shower was about so much more than the price tag — it was a testimony. Gerald never left her side, and the happiness on both of their faces said everything about how ready they are for their daughter.

Congratulations to Shamea and Gerald on your baby girl. Press play on our exclusive video above, check out the gallery, and leave the happy couple some love in the comments.

  • NeNe Phaedra & Marlo Twerk Off [Guess Who Falls?]
    ,

NeNe Phaedra & Marlo Twerk Off [Guess Who Falls?]

Somebody put on the music and clear the floor, because the ladies of Atlanta are at it again. FreddyO was in the room when NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, and Marlo Hampton decided to settle an important question — who still has it? — the only proper way: with a full-blown twerk off. Three of the most fabulous women to ever grace The Real Housewives of Atlanta, one song, and absolutely no shame in anybody’s game.

Let’s talk about the lineup. NeNe, the OG herself, never met a dance floor she couldn’t command. Phaedra, the Southern belle who can read a eulogy and drop it low in the same evening. And Marlo, who treats every occasion like a fashion show but is never too cute to have a good time. Put them together with the cameras rolling and a crowd hyping them up, and you already know what happens next: wigs secured, heels working overtime, and everybody giving it their absolute all.

And then — because a twerk off without a little chaos is just exercise — somebody goes DOWN. We won’t spoil it here, but let’s just say gravity is undefeated, the floor was not ready, and the scream that went up in that room deserves its own award. The best part is how fast the shade turns back into sisterhood: one second they’re competing, the next they’re cracking up and helping each other up like only real friends can.

Press play above to watch NeNe, Phaedra, and Marlo’s twerk off — and to find out which one of them takes the tumble — then keep scrolling for more FreddyO exclusives. Ladies, the crown is still up for grabs, so drop a comment and tell us: who really won, and who fell? We’ll be reading every single one.
