Happy birthday, Ms. E.! The Braxton sisters — Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar — got together to serenade the woman who started it all, their mother Evelyn Braxton, and of course a simple birthday song turned into a full-blown harmony session. When your family is the Braxtons, even “Happy Birthday” comes with five-part harmony, runs and a whole lot of soul — and FreddyO has the exclusive video.

If you watch Braxton Family Values, you already know Ms. E. is the heartbeat of this family. Long before the fame, Evelyn Braxton had her girls singing in church back in Maryland, and that training is all over this clip. The sisters slide right into their parts like they never left the choir stand — Toni holding down the low end, Tamar reaching for the big finish, and everybody else stacking the middle just right.

It has been a busy year for the family, too. Toni released her Sex & Cigarettes album, Tamar is still riding off the success of Bluebird of Happiness, and the sisters keep the laughs, the tears and the sister talk coming every week on WE tv. There is nothing like a Braxton sister moment! Toni, Tamar, Traci, Towanda and Trina linked up and took it back — way back — performing “Night Time Is The Right Time,” the Ray Charles classic made famous by that unforgettable Cosby Show episode, and FreddyO has the exclusive video of the ladies in action.

Everybody remembers the Huxtables performing this song, and the Braxtons clearly grew up on it too. Watching the sisters fall into harmony around each other is a reminder of where it all started for them — singing together long before the solo careers, the Grammys and Braxton Family Values made them household names. When these five get together around a song, the blend is automatic. That’s not practice, that’s blood.

And let’s be honest, seeing all of the sisters laughing and singing together is exactly what the fans have been wanting. This season of Braxton Family Values has put the family through it, with the sisters working through years of tension in front of the cameras. Boxing Champ Gervonta Davis & Dretta’s Baby Shower Recap VIDEO

The champ is about to be a girl dad! Undefeated boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Dretta celebrated their baby girl on the way with a beautiful baby shower here in Atlanta, and FreddyO was in the room for all of it. Family, friends and famous faces came out to shower the couple with love, the decorations were fit for a little princess, and Tank — the man everybody fears in the ring — could not stop smiling. This is the recap everybody is talking about.

What a year this young man is having. The 23-year-old Baltimore native knocked out Jesus Cuellar in April to become a two-time world champion, he is Floyd Mayweather’s star fighter at Mayweather Promotions, and his knockout power has made him one of the most feared young names in the whole sport. But on this day there were no gloves and no opponents — just Tank soaking in the biggest blessing of his life, with Dretta glowing right beside him.

And this was no regular baby shower. Atlanta showed up and showed out, the room was decked out top to bottom, and the celebration even came with a live musical moment when the legendary ladies of Xscape blessed the party with “Who Can I Run To” — because that is how we do it in the A. Between the music, the food, the games and the gifts stacked to the ceiling, baby girl Davis is already loved beyond measure and she is not even here yet.

Scrappy & Bambi’s Aaliyah Themed 90’s Baby Shower & Interview

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s own Scrappy and Bambi are counting down the days until their baby boy arrives, and the couple celebrated in true A-Town fashion with a baby shower that took everybody straight back to the 90s. The theme paid tribute to the one and only Aaliyah, and from the decor to the outfits, every detail was dripping with that smooth 90s R&B flavor.

Guests pulled up ready to party like it was 1999 — think baggy gear, bandanas and those classic Aaliyah-inspired looks that had the whole room reminiscing about a golden era. Friends, family and a few familiar faces from the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta family were in the house showing love to the parents-to-be, snapping pictures and showering the couple with gifts for the little prince on the way.

FreddyO also caught up with Scrappy and Bambi for an exclusive interview, and the two could not stop smiling as they talked about becoming parents together, the love and support surrounding them, and how they pulled the Aaliyah theme together. There is nothing like watching two people soak in a moment like this — the laughs, the stories and all the advice that comes when a baby is about to change everything, in the best way possible.

LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Basketball Game 2017 – Photo Gallery

Labor Day weekend in Atlanta means one thing: LudaDay Weekend. Ludacris brought his annual charity celebration back to the city, and the celebrity basketball game was the centerpiece of a weekend packed with star power.

Team Luda, featuring Ludacris himself alongside LaLa and a red-hot Cardi B, took on Team MikeWill in a game that had the crowd on its feet from tip-off. With Bodak Yellow taking over the airwaves that summer, Cardi’s appearance was one of the most talked-about moments of the weekend. The gym was packed with fans, celebrities, and familiar faces from Atlanta’s entertainment scene, all coming together for a day of hoops and philanthropy.

LudaDay Weekend has grown into one of Atlanta’s signature Labor Day traditions, raising money and awareness for the Ludacris Foundation while giving fans a chance to see their favorite stars up close. Since launching in 2006, the weekend has raised millions for youth programs, blending Luda’s love for his hometown with his commitment to giving back. From the bowling tournament to the day party to the concert, the weekend is a full-scale takeover of the city.

Lucci knows these streets, because Summerhill is home. The Wish Me Well rapper, fresh off his Freda’s Son project, has one of the most recognizable voices in Atlanta rap right now, and seeing him hand out supplies in person means more to these kids than any post ever could. Reginae is right there with him: Lil Wayne’s daughter has grown up in front of us into a young boss in her own right, holding her own on Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta and building her name far beyond her famous last name.

Together, Lucci and Reginae have been one of Atlanta’s most talked-about young couples, and days like this show why the city roots for them.
