Xscape Brings Out All Of Their Husbands including Tip & Baby

Atlanta, stand up — the queens are home! Xscape had the whole crowd on their feet when Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott paused the show and brought ALL of their husbands out on stage, including Tiny’s husband, T.I. — Tip himself. The second those men walked out, the place went up, and FreddyO was right there to catch every second of it.

If you have been watching this reunion unfold, you already know this summer belongs to Xscape. The group shocked everybody earlier this year by announcing they were getting back together, and on June 25 they hit the BET Awards stage for their first performance together in nearly 20 years. A week later they shut down the Essence Festival in New Orleans, and this comeback has been on fire ever since.

That is what made this moment feel so special. One by one, the ladies called their men out — Todd Tucker beaming next to Kandi, Rocky Bivens right there with LaTocha, Darnell “Big D” Thompkins standing proud with Tamika, and Tip stepping out to join Tiny to one of the loudest reactions of the night. There was even a baby in on the fun, which made it a true family affair. No drama and no messy headlines — just four couples, a stage full of love, and a crowd eating up every single second.

And the show itself? The vocals are still THE vocals. From “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding” to “Who Can I Run To,” the harmonies are tight, the chemistry is real, and Xscape is moving like they never left. This reunion is no nostalgia act — it is a loud reminder of exactly why these four women ran R&B in the ’90s, and why fans never stopped asking for this moment.

Press play on the exclusive video above to see the big moment for yourself, and scroll through the photos below — including more from Xscape’s reunion run with their first performance after the BET Awards and their big night at Essence Festival 2017. With The Great Xscape Tour on the way this fall, if this night is any indication, you do NOT want to miss these ladies when they hit your city!

  • Real housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan gets her GEORGIA peach back in the form of wine
    ,

Real housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan gets her GEORGIA peach back in the form of wine

Claudia Jordan may not be holding a peach on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anymore, but do not tell her that. The reality star and media personality just got her Georgia peach back in the sweetest way possible, in the form of her very own wine, and FreddyO was there as she celebrated. Claudia popped bottles, worked the cameras and reminded everybody watching that a setback is really just a setup for a boss move when you play it right.

Housewives fans will remember Claudia’s one-season run on RHOA, where she wasted no time making her presence felt in Atlanta, from legendary reads to friend-group drama that kept the blogs fed all season long. Losing a peach could have been the end of her story, but Claudia clearly had other plans, taking her most famous title and turning it into a brand she can pour, bottle and sell. Say what you want about reality TV, but that right there is how you flip fifteen minutes of fame into ownership.

Atlanta came out to support, the wine was flowing, and Claudia was in her element, working the room like the pro she is. Between her radio work, her acting and now a wine with her name on it, she keeps proving there is plenty of life after Housewives when you bet on yourself and do the work. We will raise a glass to that every time, because a Georgia peach is a Georgia peach, no matter how you slice it.

Press play to see Claudia get her peach back in style, then tell us in the comments which Housewife you think had the best glow-up after leaving the show.

  • Xscape & Karen Clark-Sheard ‘Is My Living In Vain’ Live

Xscape & Karen Clark-Sheard ‘Is My Living In Vain’ Live

Somebody take us to church! The reunion of Xscape just delivered another moment to remember, as Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott joined gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard live in Detroit for a powerful performance of “Is My Living In Vain.” FreddyO has the exclusive video, and trust us, this is the collaboration nobody knew they needed until the first note was sung.

Xscape is in the middle of the comeback of the year. The Atlanta group stunned everybody at the BET Awards in June with their first televised performance together in nearly two decades, and the love from the fans has not slowed down since. Every stop on this reunion run is selling out and turning into a celebration of real R&B, real harmonies and the songs we grew up on, from “Just Kickin’ It” to “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To.”

But Detroit is church country, and when you are in the home of the Clark Sisters, you come correct. “Is My Living In Vain” is a gospel standard made famous by Karen and her sisters, and hearing Xscape’s voices blend with Karen Clark Sheard’s anointed runs is a full-circle moment. These four ladies grew up singing in church in Atlanta, and it shows in every harmony. Karen, a Detroit icon and one of the greatest vocalists gospel music has ever produced, met them note for note, and the building felt less like a concert hall and more like Sunday morning service.

With a reunion tour on the way and fans begging for new music, Xscape is proving that great singing never goes out of style. Add a gospel great like Karen Clark Sheard to the mix and you get a night Detroit will be talking about for a long time. Press play and get your praise on!

  • Xcape First Interview After Essence Festival

Xcape First Interview After Essence Festival

The reunion is REAL! Fresh off their history-making performance at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, the ladies of Xscape sat down with FreddyO for their first interview since hitting that stage together, and the love in the room was something special. Kandi, Tiny, LaTocha and Tamika are back together, back on stage, and sounding like they never missed a day.

Nobody knew if this day would ever come. After almost two decades apart, Xscape first shocked the world at the BET Awards last month, then shut down the Essence Festival with their first full performance together, running through the classics that made them one of the greatest girl groups of all time: ‘Just Kickin’ It,’ ‘Understanding,’ ‘Who Can I Run To’ and ‘My Little Secret.’ The crowd knew every single word, and so did everybody watching at home.

In this first interview after Essence, the ladies open up about how it felt to stand on that stage together again, the fans who rode for them all these years, and putting the sisterhood back together after everything that split them apart. These are four grown women, four mothers, four bosses with their own empires, from Kandi’s businesses and Housewives fame to Tiny’s Family Hustle, but when those harmonies lock in, it is 1993 all over again.

Press play and hear it from the ladies themselves, then tell us in the comments: what city needs the Xscape reunion next? Something tells us this is only the beginning.

  • Xscape First Performance Together at Essence Festival 2017

Xscape First Performance Together at Essence Festival 2017

They are really back! Just one week after shutting down the BET Awards, Xscape took their reunion to New Orleans and hit the Essence Festival stage together, and FreddyO was in the building to capture their first Essence performance together in years. Kandi, Tiny, LaTocha and Tamika Scott stepped out in front of a packed crowd and delivered the classics like they never left, and the fans loved every second of it.

The road back started earlier this year when the group announced on Atlanta radio that they had reunited, putting years of distance behind them for the fans who never stopped asking. Their performance at the BET Awards last month was the moment everybody had been waiting for, and Essence weekend, the biggest celebration of Black music and culture in the country, was the perfect place to prove this reunion is more than a one-night moment.

From the first notes, the crowd was on its feet singing every word back to the stage. Hearing those harmonies on the records that made Xscape one of the defining girl groups of the ’90s, performed live by all four original voices, gave fans in New Orleans a real piece of R&B history. Between Kandi holding it down on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tiny’s Family Hustle and the Scott sisters keeping their gospel roots front and center, each lady brought her own star power back to the group.

If Essence is any indication, the Xscape reunion is only getting started, and we will be front row for whatever comes next. Welcome back, ladies. Atlanta missed you! Press play and relive the performance everybody in New Orleans is still talking about.

  • Xscape Fans Start Riot at Essence Festival after not getting Into Superdome Concert

Xscape Fans Start Riot at Essence Festival after not getting Into Superdome Concert

Essence Festival weekend is supposed to be all love, but outside the Superdome last night it turned into pure chaos. Xscape fans who could not get in to see the reunion show packed the doors, and when it became clear they were not getting in, the crowd got loud, frustrated and out of control — and FreddyO caught it on camera.

You have to understand how big this reunion is. This is Xscape’s first Essence Festival performance together, just one week after their comeback performance at the BET Awards, and fans who grew up on “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding” were NOT trying to miss it. When you have been waiting nearly twenty years to see Kandi, Tiny, LaTocha and Tamika Scott on one stage, being turned away at the door is a heartbreak.

The problem was space. The show was scheduled in one of the smaller Superlounge setups instead of the main stage, and way more people showed up than the room could hold. Fans with tickets in hand were left standing outside while one of the biggest R&B reunions of the year happened without them, and you can hear the disappointment all through this video.

Thankfully, the ladies are giving fans more chances to see them — this reunion is just getting started. Press play to see what really went down outside the Superdome, and tell me in the comments: should Essence have put Xscape on the main stage?

  • BEST VOCALS: Acapella Tonight by Xscape & If I Ever Fall In Love
    ,

BEST VOCALS: Acapella Tonight by Xscape & If I Ever Fall In Love

This is what real singing sounds like. No band, no autotune, no smoke and mirrors — just voices. FreddyO is taking you back with two of the greatest acapella moments in R&B: the ladies of Xscape putting their heavenly harmonies on ‘Tonight,’ and the fellas of Shai with their timeless classic ‘If I Ever Fall In Love.’ With Xscape’s big reunion having all of Atlanta talking right now, this clip is a reminder of exactly why we fell in love with these voices in the first place. When harmonies stack up like this, you do not need a single instrument.

Xscape’s ‘Tonight’ is straight out of their classic debut era, when Kandi, Tiny and the Scott sisters were running female R&B. Stripped down to nothing but their voices, you hear every layer — the leads soaring, the backgrounds wrapping around them like family, because that is what they are. And then there is Shai. Their breakout ‘If I Ever Fall In Love’ remains the gold standard for male group harmony, the kind of record that still stops a room decades later. Put these two performances together and you have got a master class in 90s R&B vocals.

In an era of studio tricks, moments like these hit different. This is church-raised, rehearsal-polished, God-given talent, the kind Atlanta and the whole 90s generation grew up on. Fans have been begging for real R&B to come back, and with Xscape back together and selling out shows, it feels like the real singers are reclaiming their moment. Press play, turn it up, and just try not to sing along — we dare you. Then hit the comments and tell us who did it best: the ladies of Xscape or the gentlemen of Shai?

Watch the full vocal showcase in our exclusive video above, browse the gallery below, and share this one with somebody who still believes in real singing.

  • Xscape First Performance After the BET Awards
    ,

Xscape First Performance After the BET Awards

Atlanta, stand up — Xscape is officially back! Just one night after shutting down the BET Awards, Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott hit the stage together once again, and FreddyO was right there to capture every moment of their first performance after the big show. The crowd was on its feet before the ladies even sang a note.

If you watched the BET Awards on Sunday night, you already know the reunion was the moment of the night. It was the first time the four ladies had performed together in nearly two decades, and social media has not stopped talking about it since. The harmonies, the choreography and the outfits took us straight back to the golden era of 90s R&B, when “Just Kickin’ It,” “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To” ruled the charts and Xscape was running the game.

What made this performance so special is that it proved Sunday night was no one-off TV moment. The ladies looked comfortable, sounded incredible and fed off the crowd’s energy like they had never left the stage. Every run and every harmony reminded everybody in the room why Xscape remains one of the most beloved girl groups to ever come out of Atlanta, discovered right here in the city by Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def camp.

The reunion train is not slowing down anytime soon. Xscape is headed to New Orleans next for the Essence Festival, and the buzz about new music, a tour and their upcoming Bravo reality series keeps growing by the day. If this weekend is any indication, the ladies are about to give their day-one fans the comeback they have been begging for for years. Welcome back, ladies — Atlanta is proud of you!

  • Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez first interview after Joseline quit ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’
    ,

Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez first interview after Joseline quit ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’

Well, look who stepped out together! Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez were spotted at STK in Atlanta on a family date night, and FreddyO caught up with the couple for their FIRST interview since Joseline quit Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and went off on producer Mona Scott-Young and several of her castmates all over social media.

If you have been keeping up, you know Joseline did not hold back one bit. The Puerto Rican Princess let the whole internet know she was done, and everybody has been waiting to see what she and Stevie would do next. Well, from the looks of this night out, these two are standing together — smiling, unbothered and very much a team, with baby Bonnie Bella at the center of it all.

Stevie, of course, is playing it cool the way only Stevie J can. With Leave It To Stevie on VH1 and a studio resume that speaks for itself, the hitmaker has options — and Joseline has never needed anybody’s permission to make her next move. Love them or love to watch them, this show was never the same when these two walked into a room.

So is this really the end of Joseline on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta? Press play and hear it straight from them, then check out more FreddyO exclusives in the videos above — including Joseline getting attacked by a fan and her thoughts on Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and that Migos song.

  • Keke Wyatt ‘Long As I Live’ at NeNe Leakes Birthday
    ,

Keke Wyatt ‘Long As I Live’ at NeNe Leakes Birthday

Now THIS is how you celebrate a birthday! NeNe Leakes’ birthday celebration in Atlanta turned into a straight-up concert when Keke Wyatt grabbed the mic and started singing “Long As I Live,” and let us tell you — there was not a quiet soul in the room. When Keke opens her mouth, everybody stops what they’re doing and listens, and FreddyO was right there in the middle of it all.

The party itself was already the talk of the town. NeNe’s husband Gregg and her circle pulled out all the stops for her surprise 50th birthday celebration, with her Real Housewives of Atlanta family and friends packing the room to show the birthday girl some love. Good food, good people, and NeNe glowing all night long — but once the music started, the whole party went straight to another level.

Keke Wyatt is a singer’s singer, and “Long As I Live” is not a song just anybody should attempt. But Keke didn’t just sing it — she took it to church and back, running up and down her range like it was nothing while the whole crowd shouted her on. Note after note, run after run, she reminded everybody in that room exactly why her voice is one of the most respected in R&B, period.

What made the moment even sweeter was how personal it felt. This was not some big arena stage — this was Keke singing for her girl, up close, in a room full of family and friends. NeNe soaked up every second of her moment, and honestly, a performance like that is better than any gift bag or birthday cake money can buy.

Press play on the exclusive video above and try to sit still — we dare you. And scroll through the photos below for more Keke Wyatt magic from NeNe’s birthday celebrations, including her performances of “If Only You Knew” and “You and I.” Happy birthday, NeNe — and Keke, girl, you SANG that!
