While mama Tamika Scott has been busy reminding the world why Xscape remains one of R&B’s most beloved girl groups, her daughter Young Niyah has been quietly preparing a moment of her own. And this Fourth of July, the next generation officially announced herself — taking the stage for her very first performance and serving up “Hit Em” like a seasoned pro.

If that last name sounds familiar, it should. Tamika Scott is one half of the powerhouse Scott sisters who, alongside Kandi Burruss and Tiny Harris, formed Xscape — the Atlanta-bred quartet behind timeless hits like “Just Kickin’ It,” “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To.” After their triumphant reunion at the 2017 Essence Festival and their well-deserved honor at the BET Awards, Xscape mania is in full swing — and it looks like the family’s musical gifts run deep in the bloodline.

Young Niyah didn’t just stand on stage — she performed. Channeling the same confidence and stage presence that made her mother a star, the young singer proved the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The crowd ate it up, and you could see the pride written all over Tamika’s face as she watched her baby girl command the spotlight for the very first time. Amber Rose and Blac Chyna shut down the BET Awards red carpet together in Los Angeles, stepping out in matching platinum looks that had every camera at the Microsoft Theater pointed their way. Amber and Chyna have been one of pop culture’s favorite friendships for years now, two boss ladies who built their own brands, launched their own businesses and stayed unapologetically themselves while doing it. When they link up for a night like the BET Awards, it is always a moment, and Sunday night was no different, with fans and photographers going crazy as the pair posed together.

Young love took center stage on the BET Awards red carpet. Lucci is in the middle of a serious run. Everyday We Lit turned the Atlanta rapper into a household name, his album Ray Ray From Summerhill landed this spring, and the whole Think It’s a Game movement is moving with him. Lil Wayne’s daughter has grown up in the spotlight, but 2018 Reginae is stepping out as her own star — red carpets, TV cameras, and a whole generation of young fans watching her every move. Jamie Foxx Sings The Bandy Bruch Song As Prince, Baby Face, Luther, In Atlanta 2015

Is there anything Jamie Foxx cannot do? The Oscar winner had an Atlanta crowd in stitches and in awe when he grabbed the mic and sang The Brady Bunch theme song, not once, but over and over, channeling a different legend every time: Prince, Babyface and Luther Vandross! FreddyO caught this gem live in the A back in 2015, and it is still just as hilarious and impressive today. One song, three icons, one Jamie Foxx.

Only Jamie could pull this off. He slips into Prince’s falsetto and flair, smooths it out Babyface style, then brings that rich Luther baritone that has the whole room hollering. It is comedy, it is musicianship, and it is a masterclass in how the great entertainers work a crowd. Jamie started in stand-up and In Living Color, blew up as a recording artist with hits like ‘Blame It,’ and won an Academy Award playing Ray Charles, so impressions of music royalty are right in his wheelhouse.

The Brady Bunch theme is one of the most familiar songs in TV history, everybody knows ‘here’s the story,’ but nobody has ever heard it like this. That is the beauty of a Jamie Foxx live show: part concert, part comedy show, all unpredictable. Atlanta crowds know real entertainment when they see it, and this night was one for the books, the kind of moment fans are still talking about long after the lights went down.

Tip & Tiny son ‘Major Harris’- First School Play 2017

Major has always been an old soul.
