The King of the CAU stage! Jacquees shut it down at Clark Atlanta University, performing his smash ‘B.E.D.’ live for the students, and FreddyO has the front row footage. The Decatur native had the whole crowd singing every word back to him as he floated across that stage like a star who knows his moment is right now. When ‘B.E.D.’ drops in Atlanta, it is not just a song, it is an anthem.
Jacquees has been grinding his way to this moment for years, from his Block Entertainment beginnings to signing with Cash Money and Rich Gang under Birdman’s wing, building a fanbase that rides for him like family. Hits like ‘At the Club’ with Dej Loaf have taken him mainstream, but it is songs like ‘B.E.D.,’ with that silky vocal and grown-man confidence, that have the ladies losing their minds and the fellas singing along too. And with his debut album 4275 finally dropping next month, the timing could not be bigger.
Performing at Clark Atlanta is a homecoming of its own. The AUC is the heartbeat of young Black Atlanta, and CAU students know their music. Jacquees fed off that energy the whole set, running through the record with the live polish of an artist who has done this a thousand times and still loves every second. Check the gallery for more FreddyO moments with Que, from Lil Mo performing at his mom’s wedding to the night he surprised her with $100,000.
Salute to Jacquees for always showing love to the city and the AUC. Press play and feel that CAU energy, then tell us in the comments: is ‘B.E.D.’ Jacquees’ biggest record yet?
